Biography

TeAnn Thomas serves as the Deputy Permanent Secretary; she joined the public service in December 2022, after over eight years in the electricity industry, where she specialized in Business Development and Innovation.

TeAnn is a distinguished national scholar. She holds an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration from the Turks and Caicos Islands Community College, a Bachelor of Arts degree (with Distinction) in Economics from Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Canada, and a Master of Development Economics degree from Dalhousie University in Canada.

With a profound passion for economics and public policy, TeAnn has extensive experience in strategic and business planning. She is a dynamic and dedicated professional committed to making significant strides in public service. Guided by the mantra, “To whom much is given, much is required,” she strives to make a meaningful impact in her role.
